Rachael Hubertz completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice at the University of Utah and is board-certified as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. She completed her residency with Dr. Steinhaus at The Spine Institute specializing in Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery and joined the team upon graduation. Before becoming a Nurse Practitioner, she was a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room at a Trauma 1 center since 2018 specializing as the Craniotomy Expert on the Orthopedic and Neurosurgical team. She also worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for several years in an outpatient urgent care clinic while obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Westminster College. Before becoming a Nurse, Rachael obtained her Bachelor of Social Work from Utah State University. She worked in several residential treatment centers for adolescents before beginning her career in nursing. Rachael continually empathizes with her patients, is passionate about providing quality care, and is excited to incorporate her knowledge and experience into The Spine Institute team. She lives in SLC, Ut where she enjoys camping, fishing, and spending time with her husband and three dogs.
